A small team that ships ordering systems for restaurants.
We're a small, focused team that helps independent restaurants and small groups set up online ordering, courier delivery, kitchen display, and staff training โ without locking you into a retainer.
Configured for real kitchens.
We started restauranttechlab after watching small restaurants struggle with the same things over and over: a half-set-up Toast account, a Square menu that didnโt match the printed one, a DoorDash partnership that ate the margin. The platforms are good โ they just need to be configured properly. So we do that.
Our job is to take your menu, your prep times, and your delivery zone, and translate them into a real, working ordering system that lives on a platform you can keep running long after we hand it over.
Restaurants first.
Configuration over consulting
We don't write reports. We log in, build the menu, wire the integrations, and hand back a working system.
Platforms you can own
We set you up on Toast, Square, or ChowNow โ platforms you can keep running yourself for years.
Honest pricing
Pay once. No retainer, no platform tax from us. Whatever the platform charges, you see directly.
A short list of things we won't pretend to be.
Restaurants are tired of agencies that overpromise. So we're upfront about what we don't do โ it makes the things we do ship cleaner.
Not an ongoing retainer
Pay once for the configuration. No monthly platform tax from us.
Not a custom-coded SaaS
We use Toast, Square, ChowNow โ platforms you can keep running yourself.
Not a marketing agency
We don't run your ads or manage your social. We just build the ordering system.
Not a delivery marketplace
We don't list you on DoorDash. We integrate Drive/Direct as your dispatch.
If your kitchen takes orders, we can configure it.
From a single brunch spot to a four-location pizza group โ the platforms and methods scale.
Full-service restaurants
Sit-down dining adding pickup or local delivery as a new channel.
Fast-casual & QSR
High-volume kitchens that need ticket flow tuned for prep speed.
Ghost kitchens
Delivery-only brands needing courier dispatch + KDS tuning.
Food trucks
Mobile operators who need a clean pickup-ordering site to drive lunch rushes.
Multi-location groups
2โ5 locations that need synchronized menus and per-location delivery zones.
Specialty & craft
Wineries, breweries, butcher shops, bakeries โ anywhere with a counter and a menu.
Four principles behind every project.
Not rules. Just decisions we keep making, the ones that make our work feel different from a typical agency.
Configure, don't customize
We don't fork the platform or write custom plugins. Anything custom is something you can't maintain after we leave.
Ship in days, not quarters
Restaurants don't have months. A small, focused team configuring real platforms is faster than a "discovery phase" you don't need.
Plain language over jargon
Modifier groups, prep timers, tax-inclusive pricing โ we explain it once, plainly. The Loom we ship is meant for your line, not your CTO.
Your platform, your contract
You sign with Toast, Square, ChowNow, DoorDash directly. We don't resell, mark up, or insert ourselves between you and the vendor.
A small operation, shipped in volume.
Concrete numbers we publish honestly. No vanity metrics, no inflated "served" counts.
